Students
Many of you have heard knowledge is power, but are you really sure how to afford yourself an unending supply of power to fulfill your greatest dream? Knowledge begins through what you know, but is exemplified through how you speak what you know. This program has been established to help each willing student increase the number of words in his/her vocabulary. The goal is to heighten each student’s appeal to those parties able to help them—and is open to ALL academic level students. The objective is to provide a vehicle students can easily use to increase his or her score in the Critical Reading section of the SAT. Purposely increasing your lexicon now will prepare you for the monthly activity to add more words to your lexicon in the College Must Begin in 8th Grade Precollege Planner to be released in the fall of 2012. All funds will be based on book sales, but the intent to award students is as follows:
- Students must follow the instructions for each Report Day Program Offering, and submit ALL items required. Failure to submit all items requires prohibits students from being a viable candidate.
- Their Lies vs. Your Truths: A Practical Guide to Developing 16 Personal Rules for Life initiated the creation of the Report Card Day Program, to assist single parent families earning less than $50,000 annually. This program will provide an opportunity for a minimum of 180 students (for 5,000 book sales) to 3,068 students (for 100,000 book sales) to receive $50 for the assignment listed. The Report Card Day funds will be distributed to students in no more than three weeks after all submissions have been received. Every child, in 7th-12th grade can qualify for the stipulated awards. Please do not allow the fact that you may not have done all you can in the past prohibit your willingness to do all you can now. There is a chart on the next page outlining all the ways LIA would like to honor the above-mentioned students—to be submitted at studentpossibilities@liahouston.org. .
DARE: Increased participation can cause an increase in the number of students awarded. Will you accept the dare or dismiss the opportunity?

Teachers
The three most influential audiences necessary to assure overall student success are: parents, students, and teachers. Based initially on book sales, and as an incentive to help students aspire for heights unseen; we, at LIA, would like to offer the following. You just reviewed the student program. Parents have been provided an incentive to continue in his or her role of being the absolute best parent for their child. You, as the teacher, were the final group to provide an incentive—that actually begins with the initiation of your help.
In an effort to aide students in wanting to increase his or her lexicon, while including one of the most vital people in a child’s life, here is the problem. You know that a student’s vocabulary has the power to heighten how he or she feels about themselves, as well as how meticulous he or she will be with regard to their current and future education. The help sought, therefore, is in allowing your expertise as a teacher in English, Writing, or a Creative interest instructor to create the requirements for each seven week Report Day Program. In using your expertise, you will help students want to increase his or her lexicon, by being as creative as possible in the idea to inspire the genius within students. The idea must be original, interesting, but most importantly—a vehicle for students to have to submit to show an increase has been made to his/her lexicon.
I know much is spoken about the teachers not motivated to teach their students, while the efforts of those of you in the field because you want to help students and you love what you do, are dismissed. I want to show what good teachers are doing to motivate and inspire their students beyond the classroom—because good teachers change lives. The incentive will derive from book sales initially, for your participation, and offer:
- $3,500 a quarter to the teacher who presents the best idea to increase student interest in increasing his/her lexicon for the Report Card Program,
- Must be a teacher, teaching in a Title One or Lower Performing public school, with a high minority population, and
- Your photo and a brief bio statement about your passion—on the Love In Abundance website
ANTICIPATED REPORT CARD DAY PROGRAM FUNDS – TEACHERS
Since the Report Card Program has been initiated to reward students doing their best; parents (who are above every cutoff for assistance) doing all they can to assure their child’s success without help; and good teachers in the field because of a love for teaching, who at times do what they do at their expense; teacher incentives will be carried out via the following chart.
Teachers will submit a creative idea to aide students in increasing his or her lexicon at teachersrcdp@liahouston.org. Once the teacher’s idea has been accepted, a query will be made into the teaching style of the teacher submitting the idea—via school administrators, teachers, and/or students. If all information is favorable, because the premise is to reward good teachers working in their student’s best interest, the winning teacher will be notified via the phone contact information provided.

Parents
PAY YOUR EXPENSES FOR A MONTH
While many of the life lessons initiated by old school parents appear foreign when observing many parents today; I know some of you are still out there. Because my interest is in helping actual single parents (not those with a grown, capable, adult living in your home or dwelling); based on book sales—I’d like to offer a tangible incentive to encourage the work you are doing to assure your child’s success.
I truly want to help this group of parents because they need the help and often do not have it. My help will be provided through funds to pay your living expenses for an entire month—up to $5,000. Your honor, thus that of your child, will show if you are not an actual single parent. You can motivate me to increase the number of awards issued quarterly by showing the efforts you are making to help your child advance in education.
